My Life on the Web

I created these sites over 12 years ago when I was just starting out in the wonderful world of web design and I have come a VERY long way since then. I had never even heard of validating code at the time of these sites and have decided to publish them in all their glory.

I first started this with the intention of using my site as a sounding board or online journal where I could safely vent all the nasty that was swirling around inside me so that's what the first 2 did. Then I found that I enjoyed the design end of it and wanted to show off to my family which led to the 3rd "everything is wonderful" site.

Confessions Of A Neurotic - Thoughts From Inner Hell

My very first site was "Confessions of a Neurotic - Thoughts from Inner Hell". I was using AOL exclusively at the time and they offered a little web space and some site building tools and not having the first clue how to go about creating a website, I ran with it. It was the beginning of a passionate love affair with all things internet and once I started down the path I never looked back.

Confessions Part 2 - The Saga Continues

Got a couple entries in on the first site and then forgot my login information, so I created this site - "Confession Part 2 - The Saga Continues". I continued in the "purging my demons" vein and it was therapeutic. I eventually abandoned this for other more user friendly programs where my online whinefest still lives in all it's angsty glory today. It's now called Muted Lunacy.

My Universe

That led to the third site, "My Universe", because I wanted something I could show off to people and obviously the first two I couldn't. This site, I'm proud to say, wasn't created with the help of any site building programs, I did it all by hand. And although I now see how clunky and bloated it really is, at the time it was cutting edge...for me anyway. It's definitely cheesy but still holds a special place in my heart.
